Board of Health

The Lincoln Trail District Board of health sets policy for the six-county health district. Responsibilities include overseeing Health Department budgets and approval of programming. Its members are appointment by the Kentucky Department for Public Health Commissioner.

With a central office in Elizabethtown, Lincoln Trail District Health Department operates and serves the residents and visitors of a six-county area including Hardin, LaRue, Marion, Meade, Nelson and Washington counties. A number of clinical services and programs are provided through those centers.

We regularly inspect all district food service establishments, including grocery stores, restaurants, etc. Inspections are typically done twice per year.
