A Letter From Our Director
Public health has long served as invisible guardians, working across all areas of life to protect and improve the health of people and communities. You don’t even have to walk into your local health center site to benefit from public health services. Public health professionals are out in the community every day promoting good public health policy, conducting safety inspections, connecting individuals to important resources, and other activities that you may not immediately realize is public health.
The ‘why’ behind our work motivates us to continuously assess the risks to health and safety in our communities and to be nimble enough to evolve to protect our communities. The ‘why’ is you, our neighbors, our friends, our families, and the generations of those to come. We know our work is increasing the quality , as well as the quantity, of life for our community.
